The debate for gun control is never-ending. Those in favor of it feel that taking away guns will take away gun violence. Those that argue against it, suggest that taking away guns leaves the public vulnerable, since the black market will always have them. The media certainly covers only the types of "gun violence" that fits their narrative. That narrative needs a couple of important ingredients: white male, an "assault weapon," and a large body count. But the numbers will only be used to their advantage, and other factors such as race, injuries, attempted shootings, and even simply the presence of a gun will be skewed to inflate their numbers. CBS News stated that there have been 261 "mass shootings" in 2024 through September.
US Has Had 261 Mass Shootings?
This a blatant lie!
Numerous "mass shootings" in recent years have been embellished by the media and cries for more "gun control" laws predominate. The number of "mass shootings" itself has been greatly exaggerated. A simple brandishing of a weapon in a parking lot across the street from school grounds at night during the summer can be classified as a "mass shooting." One gangbanger shooting another can classified as a "mass shooting." Two gangbangers shooting each other can be classified as a "mass shooting."
Gun control by race is no doubt, centered around whites. Despite representing only 13% of population, blacks commit 80% of the gun homicides in America. Yet, these numbers are never presented on the six o' clock news. Deaths from gang shootings in urban areas occur dozens of times every day, yet almost none are documented. First off, there are so many of them that the news would well into the next day. Second, the black community does not wish to be represented in a negative context. News reporters, journalists law enforcement, and politicians do not want to lose their jobs over this. Third, it does not fit the anti-gun lobby's agenda of using an evil, deranged white person taking the lives of unarmed sitting ducks. The dramatic, Hollywood scenario of a "mass shooter" draws enormous headlines and keeps the anti-gun media's dream alive and rolling at full steam. No doubt, this phenomenon will raise its ugly head as the November, 2024 Election approaches.
